The judges highlighted the societal paradox where owners cast unproductive cows and bulls onto hazardous streets without concern for their safety or public risk, yet react with hostility if someone slaughters them for sustenance. The court emphasised that financial hardship faced by farmers or dairy owners cannot justify abandoning animals to roam freely.
