"Iran will continue to pay until they come to the table in, what President Trump deems, a meaningful way."Kuwait's military said on Saturday that it had responded to a new wave of drone attacks from Iran, with strikes reported on several key facilities.Maj. Gen. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, spokesperson for Kuwait's Defence Ministry, said drones struck "a number of vital facilities", including a government building in northern Kuwait. He said there were no casualties.Meanwhile, the British Navy said a tanker was hit and another explosion was reported near a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, off the coast of Oman. No casualties were reported in either incident.The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said an unidentified projectile struck a vessel on Friday, around 11 nautical miles northeast of Lima, Oman, causing damage to its engine room.The organisation also reported that a large splash and explosion were observed close to another tanker on Saturday while the vessel was sailing about 21 nautical miles northwest of Khasab city.Iran has repeatedly targeted vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without its approval amid its ongoing conflict with the US.Israeli forces carried out heavy strikes on the Gaza Strip after Hamas said it would agree to disarm as part of a potential deal aimed at ending the conflict.Local health officials said Israeli strikes late Friday killed at least two people in central Gaza and injured dozens more.The strikes followed Hamas' confirmation that it would disarm under a US-backed ceasefire proposal announced in October.
