Mumbai-Toronto non-stop flights from October More flights between India and Canada 10 weekly flights between Delhi and Toronto Three weekly flights between Mumbai and Toronto Seven weekly flights between Delhi and Vancouver New Boeing 787-9 on Delhi-Toronto route Air India cites strong Canada demand Air India has announced a major expansion of its Canada operations for the Winter 2026-27 schedule by launching seasonal non-stop flights between Mumbai and Toronto and upgrading its Delhi-Toronto service with its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.According to the release, the move will increase capacity and offer passengers more travel options during the peak festive and holiday travel season.The Tata Group-owned carrier said it will begin operating three weekly non-stop flights between Mumbai and Toronto from October 25, 2026, to March 26, 2027.
Air India said it will be the only airline to operate direct services between the two cities.The seasonal route will add nearly 2,000 seats every week between India and Canada, catering to growing travel demand from business travellers, tourists and members of the Indian diaspora.With the expanded winter schedule, Air India will operate 20 weekly flights between India and Canada. These include:The airline said the increased frequencies are aimed at strengthening connectivity between the two countries and providing passengers with greater flexibility.Air India
has also deployed its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the Delhi-Toronto route. The upgraded aircraft entered service on Saturday, restoring the airline's daily operations after frequencies were temporarily reduced earlier this year.Seven of the 10 weekly Delhi-Toronto flights will now be operated using the new aircraft, bringing Air India's latest cabin interiors and onboard product to Canada for the first time.The airline had cut the service to five weekly flights during June and July, citing high fuel prices and geopolitical developments that affected
flight operations.Air India Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal said Canada remains one of the airline's most important international markets due to strong people-to-people ties between the two countries."The launch of our seasonal Toronto-Mumbai service this Winter will provide travellers more choice and convenience at a time when many are travelling to reunite with family and friends," he said.The airline said the expanded schedule is designed to meet higher travel demand during the festive and holiday season while strengthening connectivity between India and Canada.
