The Chief Minister directed the Ministers in charge of the districts to camp in their respective districts and coordinate the relief operations.
Transport Minister C.P. John will camp in Thiruvananthapuram, Tourism Minister P.C. Vishnunadh in Pathanamthitta, Water Resources Minister Mons Joseph in Kottayam, and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob in Idukki. Revenue Minister A.P. Anilkumar will oversee the State-level coordination of the relief operations.
The Chief Minister also spoke to the MLAs from the rain-affected areas over the phone. He instructed the District Collectors of Idukki, Pathanamthitta, and Kottayam to remain prepared to handle any emergency. A Coast Guard vessel is searching the waters off Muthalappozhy in Thiruvananthapuram, where two fishermen have gone missing.
A marine enforcement team is also camping at the site, the Chief Minister said.
