The US State Department said it had approved a possible sale of Apache helicopter support services and related equipment to India for an estimated cost of $198.2 million. The principal contractors will be the Boeing Company and Lockheed Martin, the State Department said. In March this year, India released Defense Forces Vision 2047, a roadmap for a future-ready Indian military. The vision document outlines the strategic reforms, capability enhancements and organizational changes required within the Defense Forces to address the evolving geostrategic, technological & security environment effectively.
