Just hours before he was reported missing in an avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak, legendary mountaineer Nirmal "Nims" Purja sent an exclusive WhatsApp voice message to NDTV's Vishnu Som. Speaking from Camp 2 on Broad Peak, the Nepal-born British mountaineer shared that he was attempting his 58th successful ascent of an 8,000-metre peak—a feat that would set a new world record.
