Construction of Indiramma Housing towers, under first phase, in Hyderabad (CURE) limits, would begin in August last week. The tender process has begun and arrangements were made to commence the construction after the completion of the process, said Housing and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy while speaking to media personnel on Friday.
The scheme for Hyderabad was launched on July 20, when it was announced that 7,680 houses (flats) would be constructed in 16 Assembly constituencies. The built up area of each flat is 528 sft. While the government provides subsidy of ₹5 lakh, beneficiaries have to pay ₹6 lakh in four instalments.
An undivided share (UDS) of 20 square yards to 22 square yards will be registered in the name of each beneficiary. The land and flat together would have market value of ₹40 lakh to ₹60 lakh, he said. The Minister said that the deadline to submit the applications will not be extended beyond August 10 and that they have finalised locations for the towers in four more Assembly constituencies.
Besides Aadhaar card, applicants can submit Voter ID, driving licence, and bank passbooks for verification of address.
