The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Friday launched a campaign seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the DSC teacher recruitment process. On the directions of party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party leaders submitted representations seeking CBI probe to the District Collectors, the Joint Collectors and the District Revenue Officers across the State.
Alleging irregularities at various stages of the recruitment process, including alleged leakage of question paper, the party demanded the resignation of HRD Minister N. Lokesh. The party also urged the government to release pending dues under the ‘Vidya Deevena’ and ‘Vasathi Deevena’ schemes, and clear outstanding fee reimbursement amounts.
It also called for implementation of the government's election promise to provide an unemployment allowance of ₹3,000 per month to eligible job seekers. In Anantapur district, the party leaders
also submitted a pen drive containing videos that they claimed were related to irregularities in the preparation of the DSC merit list and appointments made under the sports quota.
