A team of students from St. Lawrence International School, Mysuru has earned the opportunity to represent India at the prestigious Robotex International Finals 2026, to be held in Seoul, South Korea, after an outstanding performance at the Robotex India Championship 2026. The championship, held on July 17 and 18 at MIT Art, Design and Technology (MIT-ADT), Pune, witnessed participation from top robotics teams across the country.
Competing in the highly challenging Folk Race category, Team Nuvadron secured 5th place among 53 teams, earning qualification for the international finals. The team comprises Ujjwal Pradeep, Nilavan Balaji, Abdul Samad Riyaz, Daksh Kothari, and M. Ved Ayan. Bhuvan Raj of Grade 10 also qualified for the Robotex International Finals through the Entrepreneurship Challenge with his application, SahAI.
The students were mentored by Robotics coach S. Karthikeyan, whose guidance played a role in preparing the teams for the national championship, a press release said. Speaking on the achievement, the school management congratulated the students and mentors, stating that this accomplishment and added that the school was committed to nurturing innovation, problem-solving, and STEM education.
The team will now prepare to compete against some of the world’s best young robotics enthusiasts at the international championship in Seoul, it added.
