Demanding proper transportation by the Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC), residents and students of Hattikuni village blocked Yadgir-Sedam road for hours on Thursday. The village is located on the Yadgir-Sedam main road.
Due to heavy congestion and other reasons, the majority of the buses which pass through the village ply wihtout properly halting at the village. Following this, the
students were not able to reach school and college on time and other government employees who work in Yadgir were facing difficulties in reaching their office on
time, the protesters said. On receiving information, the KKRTC officials rushed to the village, pacified the protestors and said that necessary steps would be taken to ensure proper transportation.
