Raising the issue in the Upper House, Kharge said the Home Minister should "take accountability, apologise and resign" over the developments. Launching a sharp attack on the government, Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of maintaining silence over the student protests.
