A man arranged his wife's marriage with her lover in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district, four months after she allegedly eloped, leaving him and their three children behind. While Jivanath Rajbhar worked as a welder in Delhi, his wife, Sarita, lived in Chandauli with the children. In her husband's absence, the woman, aged 45, fell in love with a much younger man named Ajay, who was nearly half her age and earned a living by selling peanuts on trains.
Read Full Story The two are said to have met during a train journey, and their acquaintance later developed into a romantic relationship. When Jivanath learnt about his wife's alleged extramarital affair, he strongly objected to the relationship. However, Sarita later eloped with Ajay. Although Jivanath made extensive efforts to locate her, he was unsuccessful. Earlier this week, however, he unexpectedly encountered Sarita and Ajay at a local railway station.
Though he pleaded with Sarita to return home, she remained adamant about spending her life with Ajay. Subsequently, Jivanath decided to arrange their marriage. He took them to the marriage registrar's office, where he facilitated their marriage in his presence. Speaking about his decision, Jivanath said, "I want her to live with me, but if she is unwilling to do so, there is little we can do." Meanwhile, Sarita blamed him for the breakdown of their marriage, saying he would not send her enough money for household expenses and that the couple argued frequently.
