Global markets focus on renewed US strikes against Iran as Washington continues enforcing its blockade and tensions around the Strait of Hormuz remain elevated. The US struck a location in Iran's Azerbaijan province, while Qatar sent its first LNG tanker through Hormuz in three weeks. Jordan also intercepted five Iranian missiles, with no casualties reported. In markets, Asian technology stocks gained as earnings lifted sentiment, while South Korea tightened restrictions on leveraged ETFs. The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady, with three officials dissenting, as bond markets signal caution over inflation and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh says there is no soft inflation target. Technology earnings remain in focus.
