(Representative image) A 22-year-old woman was allegedly beheaded by her brother-in-law following a minor argument over serving food in Bihar’s Jehanabad district on Wednesday morning. The accused, identified as Kunal Kumar, has been arrested.
According to reports, other family members were away working in the fields when the incident occurred. News reports suggest that Kunal asked his sister-in-law, Anshu Kumari, to serve him food. During the meal, an argument allegedly broke out after Kunal noticed dirt on Anshu’s hands while she was serving food. The dispute reportedly escalated, turning violent. Kunal allegedly assaulted Anshu before attacking her with a sharp-edged weapon, leading to her death. Following the incident, residents reached the spot and informed the police.
A police team arrived at the village, took possession of the body and started an investigation into the matter. Anshu had married Kunal’s brother, Dharmendra Kumar, around a year ago. The killing has triggered shock in the area. Police said they are probing the circumstances surrounding the incident and examining all aspects of the case.
