The Karnataka High Court orally questioned the Karnataka government regarding the investigation into alleged corruption and irregularities in the recruitment for veterinary posts by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). A single-judge bench of Justice M. Naga Prasanna expressed surprise over the government handing over the probe to the state's Central Investigation Department (CID) instead of transferring it to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The court asked why the CBI should not investigate the matter and directed the state government to submit all past and future investigation documents related to the case by August 7.
