Andhra Pradesh took another step towards strengthening economic ties with Taiwan as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday held talks with a high-level delegation of Taiwanese companies to explore investment opportunities in advanced manufacturing, electronics, semiconductors and technology. The delegation comprised representatives from several leading Taiwanese companies and institutions, including Delta Electronics, BenQ, CTBC Bank, DIMERCO, Masterhill, Nan Pao Resins, Ever-Clear Environmental Engineering, Sheng Huei Tech, Tech-Top Engineering, K.S. Terminals, Sandsun, Zilei Construction & Engineering and Cappella Sports.
Policy stability During the meeting, the Chief Minister showcased Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly policies, robust infrastructure, strategic logistics network and expanding manufacturing ecosystem. He highlighted the State’s focus on attracting investments in electronics, semiconductors, information technology, advanced manufacturing and export-oriented industries, while assuring investors of policy stability, faster approvals and proactive government support. Members of the Taiwanese delegation shared their experiences of investing in India and discussed opportunities to expand their operations in Andhra Pradesh.
Both sides agreed to enhance institutional engagement and deepen collaboration in manufacturing, technology and industrial development. Later, Minister for HRD Nara Lokesh held a separate meeting with the delegation, focusing on workforce development, skilling and educational cooperation. Discussions centred on equipping Andhra Pradesh’s youth with industry-relevant skills to meet the growing demand for talent in Taiwan’s manufacturing and technology sectors. The talks covered potential collaboration in electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, precision engineering, industrial automation, healthcare and other high-skill industries.
They also explored initiatives such as Mandarin language training, industry certifications, internships, student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research and workplace-readiness initiatives to build a globally competitive talent pool.
