A total of 71 students received their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the Graduation Day of the JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru, held at the Sri Rajendra Centenary auditorium, JSS Hospital, on Wednesday. Ramanujam Meganathan, Head of the International Relations Division, NCERT, New Delhi, was the chief guest and delivered the graduation address.
N. Nagaraja, Registrar (Evaluation), University of Mysore, and R. Mahesh, Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, were the guests of honour. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, presided over the function. The graduating students had successfully completed their undergraduate and postgraduate programmes during the 2024-25 academic year.
Of the 71 graduates, 41 were from undergraduate programmes and 30 from postgraduate programmes. Among the postgraduates, 16 specialised in Speech-Language Pathology and 14 in Audiology. The JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Speech and Hearing, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
The institute is affiliated with the University of Mysore, recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Government of India, and is also recognised as a Research Centre by the University of Mysore, according to a press release.
