Tony Romo's arrest takes a new turn.(Image via Getty Images) Dallas Cowboysâ quarterback Tony Romoâs new bodycam footage sparks new theories about his arrest Will Tony Romo be fired from CBS due to his controversial arrest which he has to settle in court? Tony Romo, the former NFL quarterback and current CBS analyst, was recently arrested by the Milwaukee County Sheriffâs Office after he allegedly failed the standardized field sobriety tests. Tony Romo has now been charged with Operating While Intoxicated, OWI, and is all set to appear in court. Amid all the mess, a new bodycam footage of what really happened to Tony Romo has sparked chaos. In the last few hours, new bodycam footage shows exactly what went down as the former Dallas Cowboysâ quarterback Tony Romo was arrested. In the footage, as Tony Romo was asked where he was coming from, he said "Because Iâm coming from a golf course, you think Iâm drunk?"The football star went on to explain he was heading to his grandparentâs house as police officers asked him for standardized field sobriety tests.
Shortly after, Tony Romo was arrested but many feel that he is innocent.A fan took to X and said, âThis absolutely makes Romo look innocent. Just a victim of a power hungry Karen Cop.âAnother fan posted, âPolice officers have authority and that's clearly respected by Tony Romo. So why is this female cop in b*tch-mode? Unnecessary and provocative.âA third fan posted, âI'm with Tony on this one. The officer was chafing with a ''I'm Karen-the-Cop'' vibe. But he didn't bite and was polite and compliant. Plus, you gotta like a rich guy who drives a Jeep.âAnother fan posted, âHe should have refused everything and let them take him to jail. Coming from a golf course is not meant to suspect someone of DUI and then start giving out field sobriety tests.
Once his lawyer gets a hold of this it should be easy work lol.âA fifth fan noted, âAbsolute nonsense. He is alert, following their commands and has appropriate gates and speech. That lady had no reason to treat him like that. They clearly decided to arrest him because he refused BT which is his right.âHowever, neither the former Dallas Cowboysâ star Tony Romo nor CBS has responded to the speculations as he remains silent.Interestingly, as
the popular CBS analyst Tony Romo was being questioned by police authorities, he also refused to test for intoxication even as he complied with the standardized sobriety tests. As the former Dallas Cowboysâ quarterback Tony Romo is all set to return to CBS this fall, there have been concerns if he would be fired from his job.At this point in time, nothing has been confirmed yet as CBS Sports has remained silent about Tony Romoâs controversial arrest.
