The Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam was decorated with thousands of vegetables and fruits on Wednesday (July 29, 2026) as part of the Shakambari Utsavam for Goddess Bhramaramba Devi, on the occasion of Ashadha Purnima. The presiding deity and the processional deity of Goddess Bhramaramba Devi, and the idols of Goddess Raja Rajeshwari, Goddess Annapurna Devi and the village deity Goddess Ankalamma within the temple complex, were adorned with vegetables and greens.
As part of the festival, rituals and prayers were performed for Goddess Bhramaramba Devi in accordance with the Agama scriptures. The service is performed every year for universal well-being. Srisailam temple trust board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu, Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao, board members, the chief priests of both temples, several priests, Vedic scholars, officials and staff members took part.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, special pujas were performed for Lord Dakshinamurthy and Sage Vyasa at the Akka Mahadevi-Hemareddy Mallamma shrine. Special rituals including the
Pallaki Utsavam and the Uyyala Seva for the presiding deities, the Lakshakumkumarchana for Goddess Bhramaramba and a Giri Pradakshina were held on the occasion of the Purnima.
