Amit Shah Is Responsible For Brutality: Rahul Gandhi Announces 6 PM Press Briefing On Student Issue
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party did not allow him to speak in
Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party did not allow him to speak in Parliament during his address on student issues and alleged police brutality. Gandhi stated that he named Home Minister Amit Shah as responsible for the force used against students, leading to interruptions, sloganeering, and clashes between opposition and treasury benches.
In response, ruling party leaders, including Dr. Jitendra Singh, demanded an apology from Gandhi, calling his allegations baseless and explaining that local officers handle police action, not the Home Minister. The deadlock led to house adjournments and the expunging of unparliamentary language. Following the Parliament session, Rahul Gandhi announced a 6:00 PM press conference to address the points he was unable to present in the House, specifically focusing on systemic issues, paper leaks, rampant education privatization, and student grievances.
