Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Wednesday (July 29, 2026) handed over appointment orders to 78 newly recruited Group I officers and 48 newly recruited personnel of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) selected by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), at the Secretariat in Chennai.
The Group I recruits include 28 Deputy Collectors, seven Deputy Superintendents of Police, 19 Assistant Commissioners (Commercial Taxes), 15 Assistant Directors (Rural Development), three District Employment Officers, and six Assistant Commissioners (Labour).
The TNPCB recruits include 40 Assistant Engineers, six Environmental Scientists, and two Grade II Librarians. Minister for Human Resources Management D. Sarathkumar, Minister for Environment and Climate Change V.K. Rajeev, and Chief Secretary M.
Saikumar were among those present.
