(Image courtesy: CNN-News18) News18 India, India’s No. 1 Hindi news channel, hosted the prestigious Diamond States Summit – Bihar, in Patna, marking the completion of the Bihar Government’s first 100 days in office. This marked the first time that a national Hindi news channel conducted a comprehensive assessment of a government’s first 100 days while bringing together key stakeholders for an extensive national dialogue on development, good governance, and the state’s future vision. Held under the theme “Rajya Nirman se Rashtriya Nirman," the summit brought together the top leadership of the Bihar Government and prominent scholars. The speakers highlighted the achievements of their respective departments, outlined the government’s priorities, and presented their development roadmap for the years ahead.
The keynote address was delivered by Samrat Choudhary, Chief Minister of Bihar who shared a comprehensive overview of the government’s achievements during its first 100 days. He spoke at length on law and order, investment, infrastructure, agriculture, education, employment, and the vision of “Viksit Bihar, Viksit Bharat". Reaffirming the government’s commitment, he emphasised making Bihar a leading destination for investment, industrial growth, and job creation. Minister of Industries and Sports, Shreyasi Singh, highlighted the government’s initiatives to accelerate industrial investment, employment generation, the startup ecosystem, and the development of sports infrastructure across the state. Building Construction Department Minister Leshi Singh shared insights into the development of modern government infrastructure, construction of public buildings, and the rapid progress of major infrastructure projects across Bihar. Information & Public Relations and Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar elaborated on the government’s efforts toward rural development, effective implementation of welfare schemes at the panchayat level, public participation, and strategies to communicate government initiatives to citizens. Minor Water Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Suman discussed initiatives aimed at expanding irrigation facilities, promoting water conservation, and enhancing agricultural productivity for farmers.
