Meanwhile, opposition leaders intensified their attack on the central government over alleged police action and brutality against protesting students. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi is set to address the Lok Sabha, where he is expected to aggressively target the government over the crackdown on student demonstrators and demand accountability.
Priyanka Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav have also raised concerns regarding police conduct, demanding a formal statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. While the opposition pushes for answers on student safety and police high-handedness, Parliament continues its debate on the anti-cheating bill.
