In response, government authorities convened meetings with legal advisors and senior officials. State authorities emphasized that water levels in the Kabini and Krishna Raja Sagara dams are sufficient only to meet drinking water needs, prioritizing domestic requirements in line with legal norms over Tamil Nadu's demand for irrigation supply.
