(Sansad TV) A UK-registered company, an undisclosed foreign business link, and a London address tied to dozens of other firms have become the centre of a fresh political controversy after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said he would raise the matter in Parliament. The company in question is BACKOPS Limited (UK). Dubey has alleged that an Indian Member of Parliament registered the company in 2003 and failed to disclose it in election affidavits. He has not publicly named the MP. Speaking to reporters, Dubey said: “There is an Indian MP who registered a company called BACKOPS Limited UK in 2003. Its registered address is 2 Frognal Way, London. It has two directors: one named Lovegrove and the other named McKnight." He further claimed that Brian Lovegrove is a director in 1,056 companies, while Ulrik McKnight is associated with around 256 companies.

According to Dubey, another 60 companies are registered at the same address, 2 Frognal Way, and some of them include television channels that, in his words, have “sensationalised events in India" and supported what he described as “anti-national forces." Dubey said he intends to seek answers in Parliament on “who is this MP, how was the company registered, what is the relationship with Lovegrove and McKnight, and what role does 2 Frognal Way play in the so-called ‘Tukde-Tukde Gang’." The controversy widened after a series of posts by Dubey on X. In one post, he asked: “Which Indian politician is a director in BACKOPS Limited (UK)? What companies are registered at 2 Frognal Way, London NE3 6XE? What is the connection between that Indian leader and Brian Lovegrove and Ulrik McKnight? Everything will be revealed inside Parliament." In another post, he alleged that the MP did not mention BACKOPS Limited in the election affidavit and drew attention to Asia TV Ltd, which he claimed had operated from the same London address and was owned by Ajitabh Bachchan.

Dubey questioned how the MP’s company could be registered at an address linked to the Bachchan family if relations between the families were allegedly strained. He also referred to former Congress MP Eduardo Faleiro and asked what relationship existed between him, the unnamed MP, and McKnight.
