Civil services aspirants from Guntur and neighbouring districts will get an opportunity to interact with experienced faculty members and senior administrators at a seminar on careers in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) examinations. The seminar is being jointly organised by The Hindu Future India Club (FIC) and Sri Harini IAS Academy, Guntur. The programme will be held at JKC College Auditorium in Guntur on Thursday (July 30) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Organisers said the seminar is aimed at providing a comprehensive roadmap for candidates preparing for the civil services examination conducted by the UPSC and the APPSC Group examinations.
Guntur District Collector and District Magistrate C.M. Saikanth Varma, IAS, will attend the event as the chief guest. He is expected to address participants on the responsibilities of civil servants and the importance of focused preparation for a career in public administration. The seminar will feature sessions by experienced faculty members from Delhi. Amith Narauni, a political science faculty member with 15 years of teaching experience; Amit Singh, an ecology and environment expert with 10 years of experience; and Nitin Kumar, an ethics and current affairs faculty member with 21 years of experience, will guide aspirants on different aspects of the examinations.
The programme will focus on preparation strategies for UPSC and APPSC examinations, structured study plans, answer-writing techniques, interview guidance and career opportunities in public services. Participants will also have an opportunity to interact directly with the experts and clarify their doubts. According to the organisers, the seminar is open to students studying in Class X, Intermediate, degree and postgraduate courses, working professionals and all civil services aspirants.
