We, too, have participated in student protests. But what kind of students are these, and what kind of obscene language are they using?" Ranaut asked. ‘Completely Unacceptable’: Kangana On Conduct Of Gen Z Questioning the conduct of the demonstrators, Ranaut said they did not resemble students and argued that such behaviour was unacceptable. She also remarked that the protesters were financially dependent on their parents, contrasting them with her own experience of becoming financially independent at the age of 16, and said society could not accept such conduct. “In what way do they resemble students? If these individuals need Supreme Court lawyers or legal counsel in the future, will their parents be able to afford it? They do not have the means to afford it themselves. We have been building our own careers since the age of sixteen. We have never been a burden on our parents..As a society, this is completely unacceptable to us," she stated.
Why Is Kangana Facing Backlash? The actor-turned-politician is facing a backlash over his social media posts targeting those who participated in the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protests. Ranaut has sparked a political row with her social media tirade against those who participated in the Delhi protests, which concluded on July 25 after the government accepted key demands, including the resignation of then Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Ranaut Calls Gen Z ‘Generation Gutter’ In Instagram posts, Ranaut described videos of protesters as “puke inducing", labelled Gen Z as “Generation gutter", and criticised young women involved in the agitation. She wrote, “Never in my life I have seen so much ugliness in one place," and added, “Here is a new generation of so called westernised Indian women. I call them Generation gutter." Defending criticism directed at protesters, Ranaut later wrote, “Every action has equal and opposite reaction." Her remarks drew sharp criticism from Congress leaders, including Renuka Chowdhury and Imran Pratapgarhi, as well as social media users, who accused her of using derogatory language and hypocrisy.
