CJP Celebration: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which emerged as a key force behind the nationwide agitation over the NEET-UG paper leak, is facing widespread criticism after multiple videos showing its leaders dancing at a hotel celebration following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhanâs resignation went viral on social media platforms. The videos showed CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, along with others, dancing to Bollywood songs after Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down as Union Education Minister amid the NEET paper leak controversy. Political commentator and YouTuber Meghnad S, who was part of the studentsâ protest accused the CJP leaders, including Saurav Das of âabandoning and starving" the protesters at Jantar Mantar and partying and celebrating the development. Commenting on the videos, Meghnad claimed that while senior CJP leaders celebrated after declaring victory, dozens of volunteers and protesters who had sustained the agitation were left stranded in Delhi without food, accommodation or travel support.
He alleged that he and a few others spent their own money to arrange Tatkal train tickets and temporary accommodation for protesters trying to return home. Meghnad further claimed that after CJP leaders left Jantar Mantar, police cleared the site, leaving volunteers to fend for themselves. âIâm seeing this at 4 am in the morning. Me and a few others have spent the last two days sending abandoned and starving CJP volunteers and protestors home with our own money. I wasnât going to say anything, but I saw this video, and Iâm pissed offâŚ," Meghnad said on Instagram. âYour volunteers were with you for the last month, selflessly working to make this protest possible. When you CJP âleadersâ got up and left, [Delhi] police came in, took their stuff, and they were thrown out of Jantar Mantar," Meghnad added. âWhile you are partying, 70+ protestors and students were left starving in Delhi because YOU decided not to care. Congratulations CJP, you have become just another political party after all. And f**k you," Medhnad concluded. However News18 does not verify the authencit.y of the allegations. The allegations have attracted widespread criticism of the CJP leadership, which has increasingly come under scrutiny over the movementâs leadership and functioning, especially over their handling during the final days of the agitation.
