A sharp face-off erupted on The Buck Stops Here as BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha accused the Opposition of shifting the goalpost after securing former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, questioning why Parliament was still not being allowed to function and debate the Anti-Paper Leak Bill. Sinha argued that incidents involving the alleged pellet-gun firing in Delhi and the AK-47 controversy in Bihar were already under investigation and should not derail discussion on a landmark reform law.
Senior journalist Ashutosh, however, questioned the government's commitment to examination reforms, arguing that several recommendations of earlier expert committees remained unimplemented. He maintained that concerns over police action against student protesters and FIRs filed after the agitation could not be separated from the larger debate on accountability. The exchange highlighted the core political battle: should Parliament prioritise passing the Anti-Paper Leak Bill, or first address allegations of excessive force and action against protesters?
