Parliament remained deadlocked for a sixth consecutive day as the opposition demanded a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding police action, including the use of pellet guns during student protests and an officer firing an AK-47 in Bihar. Repeated sloganeering delayed discussions on the Anti-Public Examinations Bill.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court observed that peaceful protests do not justify a lathi charge. A CRPF probe is underway following confirmation that RAF personnel used pellet rounds during the Parliament march. Across Bihar, Kolkata, and Mumbai, police have registered FIRs and made multiple arrests. Additionally, the Cockroach Janta Party issued an ultimatum to the government to withdraw cases against protesters.
