Patil, chairman of BLDE society, Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, and district in-charge Minister, inaugurated the BLDE- Raghukula Samanwaya School in Prakruti colony. He said that children with special needs were an integral part of the society and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that they get equal education, equal opportunities and a dignified life like all others. The school has been started jointly by BLDE Institute and Sambhava Educational and Cultural Trust, he said.
āIt has been started as an adequate step for the empowerment of children with special needs. By giving wings to the dreams of every special child and building self-confidence in them, this school will become an educational centre to enable them to live with respect in the mainstream of society. We are confident that it will become a model for the nation. It has a spacious campus, rooms with all amenities, and a team of dedicated teaching and care staff. Doctors from the B.M. Patil Medical College will visit the school and attend to the health issues of children,ā he said.
The society will increase the facilities as the number of students rises. Everyone should work together, and this school should stand as an inspiration to other districts and taluks. Such schools should be started across the state, he said. He promised to visit the school at least once a month.
