He also said the party's online petition to make E20 fuel optional had received nearly two lakh signatures. Kejriwal said he would take the online petition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence after the meeting. On a separate issue, he denied allegations of a paper leak in Punjab and accused the BJP of trying to tarnish what he described as the state's rise from 27th to number one in the country's education rankings under the Aam Aadmi Party government. The former Delhi chief minister said the AAP had earlier launched an online petition to make E20 fuel optional, and that it had been signed by almost two lakh people. "Next week, I will go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's house with the online petition. But that would be after this meeting," he said. Earlier this month, Kejriwal had written to the prime minister seeking an appointment to discuss concerns over E20 fuel and lower prices for ethanol-blended petrol. On the Punjab issue, Kejriwal said there had not been a single paper leak in 10 years of the AAP government in Delhi or in five years of its government in Punjab, while such incidents had been a recurring feature in BJP-ruled states.
He said the BJP had no real issue to raise against the Punjab government and was therefore resorting to lies. Responding to his remarks, Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra said Kejriwal's claim that no paper had leaked in Punjab was "the height of shamelessness". Malhotra claimed that for the past 15 days, the entire country had been discussing allegations that the Pharmacist examination paper was leaked in Punjab, and that papers had been leaked twice earlier as well. He also said videos had shown police lathi-charging students demanding a minister's resignation across the state. Malhotra said, "Students in Punjab have been continuously demanding the resignation of the state Education Minister, Sardar Harjot Singh Bains. However, while continuously provoking and attempting to turn the student movement in Delhi violent, Kejriwal remains indifferent to the demand for his own minister's resignation." Overall, Kejriwal used Monday's remarks to push the AAP's campaign against E20 petrol and to reject the BJP's allegations over paper leaks in Punjab.
