The Civil Supplies Department and the Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India (NCCF) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up 1,000 Mee Marts across Andhra Pradesh. The MoU was signed by Civil Supplies Commissioner K.
Kanna Babu and NCCF Managing Director Anice Joseph in the presence of Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar. In a post on X, Mr. Manohar said around 70 quality-assured consumer products would be made available at competitive prices through the outlets, beginning with Palnadu, Guntur, NTR and Krishna districts.
The products would include pulses, rice, edible oil, spices and other essential commodities. He said the initiative was aimed at shielding consumers from rising food
inflation while ensuring access to quality essential goods at affordable prices.
