The Bihar police have published a full-page newspaper poster featuring photographs of two hundred and seventy suspects allegedly involved in violence, vandalism, and arson during recent demonstrations. Photographs spanning districts including Katihar, Patna, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Munger, and Muzaffarpur were compiled from CCTV footage, with cash rewards offered for identification. Meanwhile, in Siwan, a police official captured on camera opening fire with an assault rifle has been suspended with immediate effect pending departmental action.
Additionally, authorities in Kolkata have taken sixteen individuals into custody following violent protests on July twenty-fourth, identifying at least seventy suspects believed to be outside infiltrators who attempted to hijack the student-led movement.
