In an interview with India Today, Cockroach Janta Party chief spokesperson Saurav Das discussed the ongoing protests and the party's demands regarding FIRs filed against student demonstrators. Saurav Das stated that an ultimatum of 24 hours was given for the government to provide a written guarantee by Tuesday that all FIRs against protesters would be withdrawn and no retaliatory action taken. He emphasized, "If it fails to do so, then we will give a big call, a nationwide call, for another round of protests here in Delhi." Saurav Das addressed allegations regarding stone pelting, stating that violence has no place in protests, but copies of FIRs must be studied before reaching conclusions.
He further demanded a public apology from authorities, including the Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force, regarding the use of force and pellet guns. Das also clarified that recent celebratory visuals were held in a two-star or three-star basement hall to honor returning volunteers after 37 days of protest.
