Vizianagaram District Educational Officer U. Manikyam Naidu on Monday asked schools to maintain hygiene when the students are served midday meals. In a programme organised in Kaspa Municipal High School of Vizianagaram, he felicitated Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi-Vizianagaram City president Karrotu Satyam for providing 400 meals' plates to students who were unable to afford to buy them.
He lauded Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi’s service activities such as distribution of scholarships to meritorious students and distribution of meals plates to children of many schools. Satyam who is also Midday Meal Coordinator of the district said that many students were using disposable plates to have meals with the non availability of steel plates.
Kaspa High School Headmistress V. Visalakshmi and other teachers felicitated Mr. Satyam and recalled his relentless services to senior citizens, and students in several parts
of the district.
