The Cyberabad Traffic Police on Monday (July 27, 2026) afternoon appealed to information technology companies and other organisations operating in the Commissionerate limits to consider allowing employees to leave work early in a staggered manner to minimise travel-related risks and ease traffic congestion amid adverse weather conditions forecast. In an advisory issued in the afternoon, the police said staggered early logouts would help reduce pressure on the road network, facilitate smoother traffic movement and support the uninterrupted functioning of essential services during the ongoing rains.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-I) requested companies opting for early logout to inform the police in advance about their office locations and the proposed timings. The police said the information would enable them to deploy personnel and make appropriate traffic management arrangements to ensure smoother vehicular movement around major IT corridors and commercial hubs.
The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad Centre issued a weather update at 3.47 p.m. on Monday, predicting light to moderate rain/thundershowers with maximum wind speed reaching up to 40 kmph as very likely at isolated places over Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC)
area during the next two to three hours. Till 5 p.m., 20.3 mm rainfall was recorded in Uppal, 18.8 mm in Thatiananram of Abdullapurmet and 4.8 mm in ESS D.P. Pally, Dundigal, as per Telangana Development Planning Society’s weather observations.
