In this edition of our arts24 music show, Jennifer Ben Brahim chats with sibling duo The Lemon Twigs. The Long Island natives could easily be mistaken for a British Invasion band, thanks to their unmistakable harmonies and retro blend of pop, folk and psychedelic rock. Michael and Brian D'Addario come from a musical family, one where The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Byrds were played on loop.
Their sixth studio album "Look for Your Mind!" feels like a musical time machine back to the 1960s, with themes and lyrics that feel surprisingly relevant today – from the impact of artificial intelligence on creative industries as well as protest songs about the state of politics and society.
