A bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohan assured that the probe would be conducted transparently, emphasising that the objective is to ensure a thorough and credible investigation. The apex court was hearing petitions seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into allegations of embezzlement of donations received for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, along with a comprehensive audit of the temple trust’s finances.
