SFI President VP Sanu thanked the activist for her support, saying the student movement had inspired people across the world and demonstrated the power of collective action. The London demonstration was organised in support of the student movement in India that emerged over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak controversy Speaking at a gathering organised by SFI UK outside the Indian High Commission in London on Sunday (local time), Thunberg praised the movement and called for international solidarity with students demanding justice.

So we all have to come together now and rise up in solidarity with India," Thunberg said while addressing the gathering. Thunberg had previously figured in an Indian political controversy during the 2021 farmers’ protests after sharing an online “toolkit" intended to coordinate international support for the agitation. Delhi Police later registered a case against the creators of the document, although Thunberg was not named in the FIR.
