The videos showed CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, along with others, dancing to Bollywood songs after Dharmendra Pradhan stepped down as Union Education Minister amid the NEET paper leak controversy.

Reacting to one of the clips, Mahesh Jethmalani criticised the optics of the celebration and raised questions over the finances behind the CJP’s agitation. “Seriously? The CJP leadership throwing a victory party at a hotel! After Delhi witnessed days of violence, these so-called youth activists switched on the music and began dancing," he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He further asked, “Who funded the travel, food, accommodation, equipment and logistics throughout this agitation? Who financed the people who kept Delhi on the boil?" Some social media users also claimed the event was held at a five-star hotel although News18 could not independently verify those claims. The CJP had called off its 36-day agitation after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned and the Centre accepted its other key demands related to the alleged NEET paper leak.
