Two people were killed and seven others injured after a private bus carrying pilgrims from Amritsar met with an accident near Shah Talai, Himachal Pradesh, on Monday. The bus was carrying 35 devotees on a pilgrimage to the Baba Balak Nath Temple at Deotsidh and Shah Talai when the accident occurred.
District administration officials, police, and health department teams rushed to the spot and immediately launched rescue and relief operations. One has been referred to PGI Chandigarh, while two others have been shifted to Hamirpur Medical College for advanced treatment.
Four passengers sustained minor injuries and are being treated at Barsar Hospital. The district administration said it is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring that all injured passengers receive prompt medical care. Authorities are also extending all possible assistance to the affected pilgrims and their families.
