Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released a video message addressing Gen Z on exam irregularities, assuring strict action against those involved. The government is introducing a new anti-paper leak bill in the Lok Sabha to amend the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, introducing tougher punishments and stronger deterrence.
Fast-track courts have already been established to address cases. Additionally, the Prime Minister announced the formation of a high-powered task force on examination reforms, to be led by Infosys co-founder and technological expert Nandan Nilekani. The task force will focus on long-term structural reforms and leveraging technology to ensure leak-proof examination systems for major exams like NEET.
