India's Rishikanta Singh won the nation's second medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, securing a silver medal in the 60 kg men's weightlifting event. He achieved a score of 121 kg in the snatch category and 143 kg in the clean and jerk category, finishing with a total combined lift of 264 kg. The gold medal was claimed by Malaysia's Muhammad Aniq Khastan.
Rishikanta had an opportunity to take the lead after his initial clean and jerk attempt, but failed to lift 148 kg on his second attempt. He subsequently attempted a lift of 151 kg in his final try, but was unable to complete it, settling for silver.
