Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the formation of a high-powered multidisciplinary task force aimed at overhauling the Testing Agency and bringing comprehensive examination reforms. The experts committee will be headed by Infosys co-founder and Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani. The si member panel also includes former ISRO Chairman S Somnath, former IB Director Tapan Deka, IIT Chennai Director V Kamakoti, former Education Secretary Anita Karwal, and logistics expert Amrit Lal Meena.
The task force will focus on technological integration and structural reforms to strengthen the credibility of national competitive examinations like NEET. In a video message aimed at Gen Z, the Prime Minister highlighted ongoing government measures, including the establishment of fast-track courts to address exam irregularities and the introduction of a new anti-paper leak bill in the Lok Sabha to amend the Unfair Means in Examination Act.
