(AFP file photo) The US military on Monday said it intercepted two Iranian ballistic missiles targeting an American base in Kuwait late on Sunday, in a sharp escalation despite ongoing ceasefire efforts in the region.
US Central Command (Centcom) said in a post on X that the missiles were detected and destroyed shortly after being launched, and confirmed there were no personnel were injured in the incident.
