A 480-seat Sarvodaya residential school for girls being built near the Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to start functioning from the academic session beginning in April 2027, officials said on Sunday. The Uttar Pradesh government plans to develop it as a centre of excellence for aviation, aiming to prepare students for careers in the sector. The project is part of a broader push to expand education infrastructure in the Jewar region. In a separate development, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh has laid the foundation for a modern composite school that will offer classes from pre-primary to Class 12.

The Sarvodaya school will prove to be a milestone in giving wings to their aspirations." Officials said The Doon School will provide academic mentorship and institutional support to help develop the Sarvodaya school into a world-class educational institution. Experienced teachers and experts from the school will regularly visit the campus and guide it on teaching methods, school administration and co-curricular activities.
Sapna Sukul, chief executive officer of the Boarding Schools' Association of India, said the collaboration aims to ensure that quality education reaches every child and expressed hope that more boarding schools linked to the organisation would join the initiative in future. Meanwhile, the composite school being built in Jewar is estimated to cost Rs 25 crore. It will be constructed by the Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Limited on around six acres of land provided by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. The school will have smart classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a library and sports facilities.
Singh said, "Roads, airports and industries create economic opportunities, but schools create human capital that shapes the future of a nation," and added that the new school and the recently launched Government Women's College reflected the state's commitment to expanding quality education in the Jewar region. Officials said the two projects are aimed at strengthening education in the area, with the Sarvodaya girls' school set to focus on aviation-linked opportunities and the new composite school adding teaching facilities from the pre-primary level to Class 12.
