Archita shared a screenshot of a news report about Pradhan’s resignation on her Instagram story soon after the announcement.. She later shared another story referring to “DP’s PA", claiming there had been earlier attempts to get one of her posts removed through her mother. “Also, to DP’s PA who is sure to text my mother asking me to delete my previous story (it has happened before) – don’t bother, I won’t delete. Jai Jagannath! Jai Hindi!," she wrote.
Her remarks quickly circulated on social media, with users speculating about whom the message was directed at and why she felt compelled to make it public. Reports later claimed that Archita’s Instagram account had been deactivated. Her post drew attention as her mother publicly defended Dharmendra Pradhan. Aparajita Sarangi said the senior BJP leader had accepted moral responsibility for the controversy surrounding the alleged paper leak and described his decision to resign as an act of courage. Pradhan, a prominent BJP leader from Odisha, stepped down as Education Minister just hours before the Centre’s third round of discussions with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) representatives, the organisation leading the protests over the examination controversy. In his resignation message posted on X, Pradhan said his decision was guided by the interests of students and the country. “I hold deep respect for the aspirations, sentiments, and rightful expectations of the youth of this country. Realising the dreams of India’s young generation has been the moral resolve of our political and social life.
I express my gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for the opportunity given to me to serve the nation under his visionary leadership," he wrote. He further said, “Keeping in mind that anti-national forces should not take advantage of the situation that has arisen at Jantar Mantar and across the country, that the unity of the nation remains intact, that the future of even a single student of India does not get entangled in legal complications; and that our children devote their time to studies and focus on building their careers — I have submitted my resignation to Hon’ble Prime Minister." Pradhan’s resignation was one of the principal demands raised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) during its agitation. The group had also sought a commitment that students participating in the protests would not face legal action and demanded ₹1 crore compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide following the cancellation of the examination in May. After holding talks with Union ministers on Saturday evening, CJP leaders announced that the government had accepted all of their demands.
