A political row erupted following the police crackdown on students protesting in Delhi over the NEET paper leak on July 20. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah demanding accountability for alleged barbaric assault and questioning if lethal force and pellet guns were authorized against peaceful protesters.
