Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad, organised ContiRun 2026, a community fitness initiative, to observe Kargil Vijay Diwas at its Gachibowli campus on Sunday, bringing together around 800 participants to promote preventive healthcare and healthy living. Organised by the Department of Internal Medicine under the theme ‘Run for Your Health, Run for a Fit Community’, the event featured a 2-km Fun Run and a 5-km Timed Challenge Run.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about preventing chronic diseases through regular physical activity. Addressing the participants, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh appreciated the hospital for organising the fitness event on Kargil Vijay Diwas and said such initiatives encourage people to adopt healthier lifestyles.
He expressed hope that more community wellness programmes would be organised in future. Speaking on the occasion, Raghu N. Reddy, director of Continental Hospitals, said the event reflected the hospital’s commitment to promoting preventive healthcare beyond hospital settings.
